I understand many of the issues involved. I do think that China has a chance to shine in the world and remove itself from Tibet. What a glorious gesture that would be. To let the buddhist nation restablish itself.

I feel sorry for the Dalai Lama. he is in a very tough position. To follow srict buddhism and be humble and submissive and stand by and let his country disintegrate, or become an activist.

I wonder what his thoughts on Gandhi were?

no offense alienprincess, all religion should be abolished since all it does is create indifference with the masses. Even though buddhism seems to be much better in teachings than Christianity, it still harbors many deceipts and false teachings. Its not naive if its fact. He murders thousands of his own people by mouthing off about China all the while he's safe harbored outside of the country like a prophet or something. He should shut his mouth and push peace with China instead of conflict. His history harbors many secrets which have come out over the years if you bother to look.
