i can think of only one manga that was good, besides Hokuto No Ken, and that is Ninja Scroll (獣兵衛忍風帖, Jūbei Ninpūchō). The manga and the movie were very good. i haven't watched the series so i don't know anything about them.
The characters in Ninja Scroll were very good!
