Almost agreed with you but Masterson is not a soprano of similar league as the ones you quote. Though I like her, naming her in one breath with Edda Moser, Callas, June Anderson is not quite right

True but I just happen to love that Valerie Masterson who was a Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta soprano also sang opera roles. She also sang Gilda in Rigoletto. True, she's not at the level of Edda Moser, Callas and many other true sopranos of opera but I like her for trying! And she didnt produce ugly sounds at all

Valerie is Handel is exquiste, saw her both at Covent Garden and ENO, in London quite exquisite.
