Cette messe en latin est merveilleuse et la seule oeuvre classique religieuse de Puccini. L'on retrouve selon moi, par moment, quelques accents lyriques qui lui sont propres et reconnaissables entre tous! Cela dit, c'est religieux, liturgique et en latin. belles voix de ténor et de basse... Merci MACCIBOMA.
I love this mass. Our choir combined with another college to form what they call 100 voices and we performed it for a recital. It's such a moving piece!
This is the liturgy in Latin, therefore, it is a religious work. It is in the style of the classical music, therefore, it is also a classical piece. Here's a bit of trivia. This is the ONLY religious piece Puccini wrote and was not rediscovered until 1952, its second performance in Chicago. Its first performance, a success, was in 1880.
