I´d like to make a tribute to Javier Otxoa, the winner of this stage. He had knock by a car when trainned with his brother some years ago, Ricardo died and now Javier is a Paraolimpyc rider with some metals in his track record.
Under my point of view Lance was the best rider of his time and nobody can say with proofs that he was under dopping. Just speculations. I´d like to add that for me, cycling (TDF) under Lance rule was extremely boring.
Greetings

He has not been tested postive in his entire career and that makes him as innocent as anyone else. Just because Lance Armstrong can push himself further physically and mentally, it doesn't mean he is guilty to dope or whatsoever. Lance always was a top talent (world champion at 21), but after the cancer he really fulfilled his potential and became a more focused and professional athlete. We should be happy he made and makes the Tour a spectacular event to watch.

8 of his 1999 samples have been proved scientifically to have remote EPO. One of them had corticoidsteroid. That case was ILLEGALY cleared by an outdated TUE. Coincidentaly UCI got a secret $500.000 donation of Armstrongin 2000. It was only discovered in 2005. After Festina, Verbruggen UCI president stated that public was not ready to accept slower races, an indirect sign that doping was "welcome" by UCI

Spectacular for Americans, just like it was for the Italians when Pantani was around, i'ts normal to feel this way specially if the rider is from the same nationality as you

Manzano was close of dying after a bad storage of medicine or blood. Heras, while riding for Lance, has had a similar problem, he felt of his bike after 60km of a mountain stage, but before the first col, team said it was dehydration. But at hospital, they found no dehydration reason of course.

Doping would not prevent strange bonk. You could read Zulle or Vayer's confession speaking of a such bonk named blocato or "chaussette chaude". By mixing a lot of PED, drugs, sometimes the body has a bad reaction. I still believe it was the same for Landis who said it wasnot a lack of food. A good doping program require at least 10 injection/day (see Manzano confession, or US Postal garbage), I added a lot of doping informations in my profil. Doping allows to train harder than everyone clean.

Testosterone test is done SYSTEMATICALLY since the 80's !
Maybe, it was like for EPO test in California which were not done. Do you know that there is a 70% overproduction EPO not used in medical application? Who use it?
When was Tour du Pont? When do you believe began his cancer?

Other riders don't have to climb the cols if TDF because often they already know them.
Explain me why it's important to train on mountain passs in winter if don't use EPO or blood doping? Does it fit with normal training?
