If you like Stewart & Novak together, then you can see them again in "Bell, Book & Candle."

Nope, this IS Hitchcocks best film! But it demands something from the viewer. Not everyone will like it. But for the sharper film-lover, it gives far more than Rear Window.

The movie is very good in itself, and it really shines when it comes to lighting and filming. But many never notice such details. Those same people call the film boring, and this is the average film-goer not liking it.

I have little doubt that Rear Window is liked by more people. But Vertigo is undoubtedly a greater film.

Paramount Pictures, Alfred Hitchcock, James Stewart, Kim Novak, Bernard Herrman created one of the most magnetic and finest of films. Astoundingly, Neither Novak, Stewart nor Hitchcock were even nominated much less awarded Oscars. That year, Ben Hur, David Niven and Susan Hayward won. ( Niven and Hayward were deserved winners)

The racist Stewart was FAR too old for the part and the film was just a boring piece of crap.
