this is my favourite portishead song of all time, the hammond organ they use just lifts the song to a whole new ethereal level. also, I feel this song is about female liberation, perhaps in the vein of the feminist movement? I do not know, just guessing
The song.. I am not too sure, I think you have to feel it and then it might reaches you considering your own experiences in life. I think it's about the uselessness of going on in life. Well, truly, it sounds like a song about suicide & trying to live on knowing well enough that things won't get better.
