I bought my Gary Fisher Big Sur in 2008 for 1,500 dollars. I was excited and happy, after I received it I noticed a sticker on it, it said "Made in Taiwan" What?? If I had known this I would not have bought the thing. It's still good though light and strong.
Don't worry my friend. Taiwan is one of the world leading manufacturers. They make half the world's computer parts. Standards are very high. I have carbon wheels made in Taiwan and they are very good. Giant, I think is a Taiwanese company.
