I worked at a winch company called Warn for a year and having to listen to the horrible sound the broaching machines made along with the spell of the burning oil was just too much to bear. That and the 110 degree temperature in the shop pretty much every day in August...

This is not gear manufacturing, but "broaching"...! if you want to show gear cutting, show how the teeth were made on the outside of the gear shown in the video !!!

I agree, to be honest broaching looks very like internal tapping, which is not what i thought gear making would be

I cannot see any gears being cut, just a lot of coloured liquid being sprayed.

Man, I used to hate this machine when I was a machinist in a gear manufacturing company.
Broaching machine sucks !
