It doesn't make that much real sense outside the context of the film, but this scene is brilliant.

Not passive, I don't think...in fact, here their roles are reversed, she is more concerned about her fate and philosophy and he is about the bodily sensations, which I think is reflective of how traditional thinking roles of men and women change when it comes to sex
