At first this sounds like just an OK track, however after listening to it quite a few times its grown on me so much that I cant stop playing it. Good on you, Kate!!! (you are a GENIUS, the most unique female artist of our century) The video is great too. I love the ending music, well worth waiting for...

XD. The first time I read the lyrics to this song, I thought "of all things, she had to write a song about dancing with Hitler."

But, ah well, I still love this song, and Kate Bush is an awesome singer.

I wonder what people thought about this song when it first came out.

The myth of the Ripper is that he was a charming man and that is how he got away with it. In a time were we go so much on appearances as the baby boomers mostly still do, that is how they get tricked all the time it shows that the devil really will come as a nice face.

I'm just happy because I can hear Mick Karn's melodic bass.

Does the intro of this remind anyone else of Marianne Faithfull's The Ballad of Lucy Jordan?

I went to listen to The Ballad of Lucy Jordan (which I had never heard of before) after you said that and it does a bit but Kate Bush's intro is more dynamic.
