I don't know from where does those rules come from but I think nobody has to say anything about our language when we have a cawboy hat, all the american today had european'origins and I think that most of the people like you forget it too fast.
At last, what's possible in fact ? At firt you're rude and second, you should get more information about rules of wearing or not a cowboy hat.

i'm sorry for sounding rude but as long as someone is speaking french they should not be wearing a cowboy hat unless they are country french and I'm not ever sure thats possible.

C'est la musique de "The Spirit" ça et je trouve que c'est bien de changer un peu du "I Feel Lucky" de Mary Chapin Carpenter car les danseurs la trouve trop longue et pas assez entrainante ..
