The Vikings were a ruthless people. YOU clearly have not done any extensive research on the Vikings or done any heavy reading.. Go read a book and educate yourself.

Clearly you don't know much about the vikings, they were merciless when they needed to be , they were excellent traders and sailing pioneers, so calling them savage is taking your mouth full

You obviously didn't get to the part of actually understanding what you're reading..that's ok, reading picture books on certain historical subjects isn't so bad-as long as you don't presume to know actual history. I guess those "brilliant" and "caring" teachers didn't teach you that uttering racial slurs on the web isn't very civilized for someone from the "old stock"

@TheAlta2: Once you follow up on that article from SciAm you might want to also read African Exodus by Stringer and McKie or Mapping Human History by Olsen. Lots more material than that is freely available. You might also see how that the newer populations are also less diverse, and therefore at a greater risk.

@TheAlta2: It's not a theory, it's simple fact. A close examination of every humans genome will show the greatest diversity in the most ancient populations from Africa. Check out the Jul 2008 issue of SciAm for more. Additionally, leaving Africa would've been a way to ease a difficult life, with no more modern human competition and animals that weren't used to predation by more skilled archaic H. sapiens. Additionally, the evolutionary distance between whites, blacks and asians is really ZERO.
