Does anyone know that Disney has won an Oscar for this song?

I know a bit of japanese... not a lot, but still enough to know some key words... and I don't see any mention of the words for 'Beast' or 'Beauty' or anything of the sort. I translated the part of the song where the line "A tale as old as time, a song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast" comes in the english version, "yasashisa ga hiraiteku ai no tobira", and seems it means "Kindness opens the door to love"

well you almost got it rightXD, but "yasashisa ga hiraiteku" means "Their affection open..." Then "ai no tobira" means " love's doors." So all together "Their affection open love's doors."

Nooo, it's fair to hate the Japanese leaders of the time. (Who even the Japanese hate)..
Hating the Japanese for WWII is like hating Germany for it.
