Wow you did an amazing job of applying the songs meaning into everyday lives of normal people. However i think you are missing something very important. If you listen to this song off the wish you were here album the intro starts off with a bad sounding radio. anyways the reason why pinkfloyd put that bad sounding radio into the intro is because they wanted to compare syd barret to a radio that is losing reception because syd came in and came out just like a radio that is losing reception.

I made this account just to comment on this video. I was actually moved to tears by; its delivery is so candid and true to life. I wouldn't wish such a thing as the plot of this video on my worst enemy. You have talent buddy.
