He is a unbalanced guitar player, ask him to play blues, or something melodic, well he CAN'T, but ask Vai to shred over a scale, to sweep arpeggios or be fast, you think he can't? satch has always been that good...he just doesen't like to show off so much as these two....no disrespect for vai or malmsteen of course...if anybody was as talented as they are they would be showing off too...but un my opinion satch is one of the best guitarists ever to walk the earth!

SHITTY. with malmsteen its all picking runs and sweeps. its sounds so shitty its not funny. do you know how many stupid high schoolers there are that can do that? The key in sounding great is to know the theory behind the music you're playing, which if you didnt notice, Vai took what Malmsteen did, and used the bar for a sub-octave effect, because what malmsteen did sounded terrible.

lol Yngwie shits all over Vai. The problem with Vai is that unlike most guitarists, the most important thing for him is to sound original rather than play something which sounds good. Even if it sounds completely shit it's ok, coz he sounds unique. LOL. But the bit which really makes me laugh is at 3:03 after Yngwie does that killer picking run and Vai's answer to that is to do some shitty sounding whammy phrases. LOL. Is that the best you can do Vai? Vai is so overated it makes me laugh.
