hi, i would like a vid on the heating mechanism of blow moulding.

I'M about to blow an 0-ring. Damn it smells AWFUL in here...

FYI this is stretch blow molding which is distinct from extrusion and injection blow molding.

I always hated it when the material was extruding down and there was too much air pressure being blown down, so the end of the material would catch on the top, so it would create a "mushroom" and then pour over the tool...you had to take a knife to that sucker.

That's exactly how Pinesol bottles are made. A series of high intensity light bulbs heats and softens the large, thick preforms and then feeds the preforms down a conveyor into the actual blow mold you see here. You don't want to be standing next to them when the air pressure o-ring blows out. LOUD! Yikes, is it loud when it blows an o-ring.
