I almost did this last night at Go club. I noticed -right- before I took my finger off the stone.

I still lost by about 30 points though, but hey, I'm learning.

the 19x19 is the biggest board on wich the sides are more important than the ceter, therefore its the biggest board played. Of course if u want, u may experiment with bigger ones, but there's hardly any strategy for them in literature etc. Its stricte for fun

19x19 is the only board size played seriously. Occaisonally 9x9 and 13x13 are played, but they are mainly for teaching beginners and for people just messing around with a quick game. Sometimes computers are played on these smaller boards as well, as they tend to be stronger on them.
