They really need to do a new movie version of this. The other one let's just say was flawed.

How about this

Christian Bale or Sam Worthington as James West

and

Johnny Depp or Robert Downey Jr. as Artemus Gordon

and

Peter Dinklage as Miguelito Loveless

They could pull the roles off well.

@SLPIFan
Think about this one:
When you see Mel Gibson in Maverick and the outfit that he was wearing , that is a possibility for James West

I strongly agree with you on Robert Downey Jr as Artemus Gordon. After seeing him in Sherlock Holmes he could pull off the dramatic, thesbian side as well as pulling off a disguise (i.e. Tropic Thunder)

It would be a coin toss Between Kevin Kline and Will Smith for Artemus Gordon

Mel was actually originally going to play West when they were originally making the movie, but eventually left. He'd do well.

And I'm glad to see someone agrees about Robert Downey Jr. He'd be excellent in the role.

And what do you mean by Kline and Smith as a toss up for Gordon? They were both in the original. I actually really liked Kline as Gordon, and I in general like Will Smith, but he wasn't right for the role of West. And I thought you just said you liked Downey Jr. for the role?

Yeah! Those were after the show became full-color, like every other TV series, post-1966.

Sometimes actors can be real hateful.

A friend of mine who used to be a police officer and now works in addiction treatment tells me "people are assholes"
