Don't think so...they still don't have enough experience in the gaming industry and if they miraculously get the skills to make a good console with a good set of games it would cost an arm and a leg since it's an Apple.

They're doing pretty good with the games on the ipod/iphone. With the .99 cent quick burst of gaming market which is great for a handheld on the go type of game. Which is a market with plenty of room for another competitor.

At any rate thats a good way for them to dip their toes in the water. But Apples marketing machine is strong enough for them to release a game system if they wanted to.

And yeah you're right about the price lol.

Ipod touch is already one of the best selling game consoles

I don't know when they concepted this, but it would seem as though apple was ahead of the curve on the next-gen consoles. Apple is going to take over the world.
