there was never a 24 inch planned but a 20 inch shell was planned on the 2 super yamato class battle ships

I argue with him and everybody wants to argue with me i'm right wtf? all I ever said was there were no larger guns than Yamato's 18.1 inch

We only keep the USS Iowa in mothballs condition, all other BB are now museums. While magnificent vessels they are to outdated for todays battlefields. Airpower etc. has made them obsolete.
As a Marine, i got to see the Iowa off the coast of Beirut but left there before it was called to shoot. One of my friends was there when the Iowa did shoot and said it was AWESOME. True firepower, but again very limited.

Poor Washington was struck not but a decade after the war. Won 15 battlestars and sank the only opposition battleship in a BB vs. BB engagement of WW2. Sad times.
