Generally accepted by whom? Here in Canada it is 14 (not saying I think it's right) and in most states it's 18 isn't it?

it's 16 in the u.k. and most of europe. since ladytron come from the u.k. im guessing its about modelling. but 14 is pretty low. im not too sure about the states
