Here's a longplay I made of the Atari Lynx (handheld system) version of Shadow of the Beast. This is probably the easiest version of that game.. well the Japanese version of SOTB for the Genesis might be close (don't confuse the Japanese Genesis version with the US one though, the US one is very hard).
Anyway, I mess up here and there as usual and since the game is so easy, I recorded the fourth time I played it and since I'd never played this version before I forget where some enemies are and such.
Oh and I'm very sorry about that VERY annoying frame rate counter up in the corner.. I didn't think the program would record that! First time I used that program as FRAPS wouldn't record the Lynx emulator.

ah yeah. that's the stuff. The music in the lynx version is so much better than the amiga. I seriously kicked ass at it when I was 8 years old: A + B allowed you to jump kick. i would use it often, especially on that green ugly cat mother to reserve my "powerball" - Oh yeah...!
Very cool to see how this game was translated between systems. The original Amiga version didn't have bats, or floating platforms and "Pitfall" vines in the underground stage :) hehehe or cobras!
SOTB was ported to so many different platforms it was unreal. Game play was different enough to be interesting on each platform. I just wish more games like Ballistix and Walker had been ported.
i didnt know arari had fans lmao regardless the system was badass for 89 i remember being 10 and amazed by it it was the first console to have the arcade perfect ninja gaiden(the nes version isnt the arcade) also dracula on the lynx was rated 8 by gamepro its the best dracula ever made and plays alot like the old kings quest but actually follows the book more than any other dracula game
actually the graohics look better on an actual lcd lynx anti aliasing often makes older games meant for low res look worse this game like most of the good lynx games has amazing graphics were talkin back before gamegear and befire gameboy a 16 bit graohics stereo sound portable system they can even handle some 3d and scaling like on war bird
