Oh man I'm delighted that you posted this! I recently tried to get the Wayaya album but it is out of production now unfortunately. I had a mate at sea in the seventies who got me into this and I've never forgotten it. Thanks for the post, brilliant!

These guys had a lot of success in Latinamerica. Kinda afro-latin Jazz music. Very similar to the cuban band IRAKERE.
