i was 17 at the time. this was redemption from 1984 when the lakers shouldve won in 6! magic CHOKED in 2 of those games and cost them that yr. but kareem showed the world he had a few yrs left. he played 4 more years. i think if they wouldve lost this '85 series. kareem might have retired sooner. REDEMPTION!!!

bone chips in his left elbow. That said, the Lakers were the better team in '85, and after the "Memorial Day Massacre," the Lakers planted their feet, made a stand, and KICKED SOME ASS!!!!

He had a dislocated finger and an elbow injury.
