Brian K. Vaughan on 'Y the last Man'

The last man, get it? The male fantasy about every woman in the world wanting to fuck him without a condom.
Men die, and women are screwed. Their whole reason for existing is gone (the cop shoots herself, the garbage girl no longer sees any value in her body, the president lays in bed for weeks). Feminists are caricatured as violent, illiterate lesbians (Amazons).
I don't usually react to comics, but the set up was so promising. Could have been the to comics what J. Whedon is to TV-shows.

Just finished issue 1-21.

Ya, seriously, like only 3 billion ppl die and the earth goes to shit. I mean, women could run the government, farm the fields,  or man the shipping lines (no pun intended) by themselves if they had to, and it wouldn't take SIXTY FREAKING YEARS.

one of the points is that the world doesn't go to shit, it takes like 6 months to get vaguely sorted but 3 billion people dying would do that

Brian K. Vaughan is a great writer and a hilarious guy. His intro to Scalped had me almost in tears.

I finally read the first book of Y, and it lives up to the hype. Y the last man and Preacher are why comics will always be better than movies!

Haven't read Y, but I love his Buffy stuff and Ex Machina.
