No fast forward was involved.
He's skipping levels due to a warp glitch, very easy to do if you know how to and having the correct version of the game.
Also, learn how to read the movie descriptions.

fucking amazing. I never got around to completely beating the game, but I recognize about 3/4ths of the levels. This game will always be one of my favorites. Brings back so many memories!
