Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals.

This man is spending his last precious hours on earth trying to inspire other people to become better people, that "self-indulgence" is actually unfiltered joy, whereas you expect him to mask his excitement. Whereas most people who find out they're terminally ill and have only a few months to live become bitter and depressed and refuse to cope with the reality, Dr. Pausch is worried about other people's happiness. In what twisted way does that make him a douche?
