do you realize that if you got what you think is "the message" of this commercial you have been affected by a subliminal message for dove? At least arguing over what software was used will have a definite answer.
I thought this violates some truth in advertising laws. It's advertising makeup so the model should only be retouched with make up. Just slap on the Adobe logo and call it an ad for Photoshop.
I thinking this creates awareness and for that we should be glad. People think a touch up was an airbrush of a blemish not rearranging someone's head and and neck into different ratios of spatial relationships.
well its too bad that the media is not based on tolerance... and it will never be. so this dove commerial and the whole argument about this is unnecessary. if the media someday will use oversized/average/not so attractive women that would be because they would find it marketable. like in this dove commercial, they want you to feel good and comfortable BECAUSE thats how you will buy their product. nobody should overrate this. its not about real beauty bullshit. its buisness. end of story.
@vanyliababy yes, they ALL do wnat to sell something thats a given. i know that the media/marketing industry all pretty much think on the same level, i'm just saying that i think it would be a better and healthier to have a more diverse approach to thei marketing. i think that not only would it benefit women/teens to see this change but the industry as well. who's to say it wouldnt be successfull? thats just my opinion and its all just perspective. your opinion is just as valid as mine or anyone
