I wish they would make the equivalent movie for Bach to "Amadeus" and "Immortal Beloved" But alas all Bach did was Love his Family, God and Music. Doesn't make for much suspense. No affairs, mystery death etc. So I guess we shouldn't hold our breath as a movie company has to sell more than like 10 tickets!

TB, A reak clavi! Nice! I had my harpsichord requilled by a guy up in Rhode Island I think. My father bought it in 1969 from a German Co. It's still in showroom mint! It took me a while to find someone to whom it wasn't beneath him to work on a "plucking piano"! The organ I work on myself. I Found 2 sets of official Conn Leslies and Pipes made for this unit all 1969 vintage. I can't get enough Bach both playing and listening. Half of my complete CD set is on my ipod I call a "Bachpod"

jfmanluke, no, you are absolutely right, I have listened hard again and I guess it's just that maybe I can't emulate it myself. Thanks for the kind comments on the electric 'C' you obviously have a nice collection yourself. I have a clavi in bits round the place somewhere. The next big project probably around 2020!

I stand corrected. I play piano/organ. Maybe you can point out the time marker where you hear the horns. I wouldnt worry about playing electric cello. My home organ is an electric Conn Artist 720. Purists wont touch anything but pipes. It does the job. My knowledge is far from superior but thanks. My harpsichord is a Sperrhake once called a plucking piano by a German harpsichord maker, keys are piano size. I just play and listen to Bach only . Complete set 170 CDs! 2/3his surviving work.

If the video is 'in time' their bowing wouldn't suggest your theory though.

Anyway, I'm no expert :-)

I think what your hearing the cellos paly a counter melody of long sutained notes 1 - 3 - 5 at about marker 3:25. It almost sounds like French horns.
