Marillion - Script For A Jester's Tear

From Recital Of The Script, the song which has allowed Marillion to skyrocket among the progressive bands back in the 80's. A Personal Favorite, which is greatly interpreted by Fish.

Marillion remains a stellar band. If you aren't listening to their last 10 (or so) albums you are missing great things. You gotta grow with the band.

I first heard Marillion on the back of a mixtape a friend gave me. He gave me the tape and didnt know what was on the back side. It was Misplaced Childhood. I listened to that old Memorex tape over and over. When I asked him who this group was he didnt know - the tape was an old tape from his older brother. Finally I learned it was Marillion and have listened to them ever since (except anything by new Marillion). I recall listening to their songs over & over when I was a teen. I am now 40

This shows the power of good influence, solid musicienship and a hell of a lot of passion. Liten to Steve's guitar and of course Fish's heart. Mark, your keyboard playing is clearly missing.

My first encounter with Marillion in the early - mid eighties, yes i am ancient,. Oh, and Fish, Marrillion without Fish is, well, dead fish, Sorry Steve.
Anyhow. The power of this song still overwhelms me after so many years...
