Why would Lineker even bother visiting Maradona the alcoholic and drug addicted slob?
It is well documented that the World Cup teams of 1986 and 1990, the majority, were all drug addicts. Player Sergio Batista had to leave for another country just to get healthy and away from Maradona's clutches. Cannigia, probably high, was caught shoplifting in Miami a few years back which just proves what everyone knows: the National teams of Argentina, since at least 1978, have been formed by delinquents.

We Greeks we fantasise about Maradona and the Argentinian team and we love him so much mainly because Greek football is a disgrace to the sport.But i think that the rest of the world likes him because he's the only celebrity who is so close to everyday people.The only one who admits his mistakes to everybody. And who hasnt done mistakes? You realy believe that Mar. is the only footbaler who used drugs?everybody tries to put him down and he always comes out winner.Thats why we like him.

Yeah we won the euro 2004 and we are tottaly incapable of qualifing for the world cup. We never did. Only one time actually. It was back in 1994. We played with two teams. One was Argentina...it was maradonas last game in a world cup.

I am sure every countries fantasized a Maradona, honestly if you and I (i'm a football tragic i.e. hopeless) were in Maradona's team in 1986 we would have won the world cup too!!

It wasn't a team effort in 1986!! It was a one man show!! He really defy the philosophy of team cohesion, it is scary and exciting!!
