Viktoria Mullova is one of the supreme Bach interpreters on the planet: Marvelous !!!! She is her own 'continuo' in some parts and that fiery run that she makes at 5:43 is glorious and seemingly effortless. Bach was a genius.

I turned off some Dubstep for this. I think I made the right decision.

I love the facial expression of some elderly people in the audience : half blissful, half dreamy : they reached felicity.

Extraordinario, es un viaje a lo interior del alma, del Espíritu de lo Sagrado. Excelente violinista, me encanta su versión

A most difficult piece for sure, and Ms. Mullova is a talented musician. I believe I noticed—at least twice—that there was a “noise” rather than a “tone.” Perhaps the bow wasn’t rosined enough, or maybe too much, but it sounded like there wasn’t enough pressure in those spots. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable performance. The fast passages were amazingly clean.

@matanuskamist I would say I found her interpretation sober, dry and austere. But I agree her phrasing lacks momentum. That her vibrato is suppressed is not a bad thing. Hilary Hahn's vibrato, by contrast, just pulses mindlessly through the piece, whether it makes sense or not. Mullova's approach to this doesn't bother me at all.
Overall, I concede your points, but, for my part, I do "buy it." It's an unsentimental, not overdramatized reading, and, taken on its own terms, still pretty moving.

Amazing interpretation! I'm am also interested about the ending. Very short and simple, kind of leaves you wanting a little more.
Thanks for uploading the correct aspect ratio one.
