blu-ray is 6x times closer to the laser than hd dvd so there is less distortion of the source and faster reading. Put a 500GB 7200rpm laptop hardrive in it and play it on a 1080P, OLED screen and look at the difference, it kills 360.
from what i've read 360 deosnt even use HD-DVD's for games, it uses regular DVD's for games .. in a sense that makes the 360 a last gen console along with its battery pack
I know the ps3 can play native 1080p at 60Hz, the 360 can only upscale 1080i to p at 30Hz, correct? Either way: 360 = dual layer DVD = 9GB / ps3 = Blu-ray = 54GB = 6x the game storage for Blu-ray
ps3 has more processing power, you know in games it's not all about graphics but how to run it also blu ray does help no to the graphics though but for the picture quality
