(1) Get the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.
(2) Install Firefox.
(3) Load Firefox when installed, go to the tools tab and select "add-ons" from the drop down.
(4) Click the "Get add-ons" icon in the top left corner.
(5) Search for "Download Helper" in the tab that opens up. The current version of this add-on is 4.6.4, and you'll know you have the right application loaded if there is an icon with three spheres on it. One will be red, one yellow, and one blue.
(6) Download to save youtube vids.

Seeing as to how I use it myself, no. The only thing you'll really suffer from is YOUTUBE QUALITY and a 50x50 watermark in the top left if you don't buy the full version. There's no expiration on the free version though, so it's a simple means of getting files from many hosts for free. It also converts to other formats if you're not keen on FLV.
