I loved the fact Shocking Blue sang this phonetically...if that is the term, without really knowing English. Instead of 'I'm your fire, at your desire'..they sang 'jour desire'. And when Bananarama redid it in the 80's, they also sang 'jour desire'.

I thought it was a male singing lead as well after all these years. I never heard a female singer with a baratone style voice before. This is also the first time I have seen any video of them. They rock reguardless.
