Hes such a cocky little shit (cocky little fuck in most his films) here, but still love this scene. Mainly thanks to the late great Mr "Zevon" for the awesome song (of which a few people have already kindly mentioned), and because of another late great, "Paul Newman" giving this film weight.

Mistake:
There is a mistake in this scene: In 1.23min. the white ball is not in the same position than in 1.49min. even Cruise has not played then. The white ball is suddenly on an other place...but anyway great movie!

onw of the best pool movies. althought thet change the position of the cue bal when he is shooting the five. you would think that they wouldn't make it so obvious. also all of his shots were stop shots

my favorite movie of all time! however i wish i could of walked through the doors to play someone like him, id take every red cent he had! Now "Grady Seasons" would be different i wouldn't gamble him! McCready! lol
