Born in Algiers Algeria, her father is safi boutela an Algerian jazz musician. She studied classical dance in Algiers and in 1992 moved to France. Later she competed for France in the gymnatic team. Won world hip hop competition in 2006. she now lives in USA and choreographs for Madonna and Rihanna.

i can tell you why she's famous: because she's a Dancer, complete, from the classic ballet to the contemporary and hip pop, and maybe the first that show one original mix of dance styles at really good level!!! she can do bgirl stuff, but there's not some bgirls that can do sofia stuff! not just mercanty, believe me!
