because he's a legend, and he can get away with it. you have to look past the voice, and look at the words instead. Personally, I think that the voice adds to the message

Littlediddler, many people would argue this 45 years ago, also. Bob's never had a reputation for having an angelic voice. Besides, it's all a matter of opinion anyway.
