what the living fuck are you talking about. yes goth came from punk we all know that. but goth is a genre and a subculture. industrial, steampunk dark ebm, deathrock, cybergoth and ALL of there off shoots would kick someones ass for saying that. there are many many goth conventions to. for instance Wave Gottik Treffen in Germany. go there during the festival and say goth is punk.... we will never see you post again.

Mallgoths are kiddos who shop at hot topic and listen to what the media has claimed to be goth dumbasses. There is no genre 'goth' when it really comes down to it. It all started with post-punk. Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Joy Division, etc.
