brilliant...it is modernism, avant-gard, brechtean, surrealist parody. It is a satire and parody of rock and roll taking into account the worst of american culture in the past (i.e. clan violence, war, etc.)

I think it's very Dada, surreal and absurd. An off kilter view of the world during a time mellow hippyish country rockers, who would probably have bolted in panic.
They sound like they had a lot of fun creating this.
