PJ Harvey - Angelene (Fan Video)

:)Hi Lossfor words78 (or did you mean Lostforwords?) Those two "Polish girls" as you call them, are well known and more importantly recpected singers with impressive discography. I can assure you that they performed the song to show their respect towards PJ Harvey. So please do not insult them by calling them fat or towering freaks.. And by the way, Michael Jackson covered The Beatles (Come together).... :))

:o) Listen, I understand that it was a wonderful cover, but can you imagine the person that came up with the words and music sheet from scratch.

That is all I am saying. I will definitely check out the cover :o)

Finally, if you a person wants to think that the Polish girls "PERFORM" it better, then so be it.

However, this song will always belong to PJ. If those Polish girls are so good, why can't they write an ORIGINAL as inspiring, dark, and moving like "Angelene?"

They are writing and recording a very good songs... check it by yourself on the you tube... Unfortunatelly you won't understand the words, cause they sing in polish (mostly)

People, in the end, if you like the Polish' girls cover, so be it. Always remember, it is just a cover.

PJ composed every single note and lyric out of the depths of her soul. This originated from PJ's creativity.

To the Polish: What would your girls do if PJ never wrote it? That is right, they would have nothing to COVER.

PJ fans take it as an offense when two other girls merely play a song that they have already heard. Then their fans claim it is the best thing since sliced bread.

If PJ didn't write this song they would do the cover of her other song because PJ is their idol. It is a concert unlugged, Chylińska is singing as the guest. They had to choose some song, and they love PJ so they chose her. They are the best polish vocalists and They are doing the good music like PJ. I apologise for my English but I am Polish.

Guys stop arguing which version is better. It's PJ's song. She does not only ROCK, SHE OWNS, that's her style. The 'Polish girls' cover' as someone's called it is just a cover, a tribute to that great song. When you check a definition of a cover, everything will be clear ;-)

What a superb record. And the video you put together works well with it. Thank you for posting this.

On a side note, it is strange that people here are commenting on that Polish cover version of this song, with some people saying it is better. What a strange opinion.
