I don't understand. If so many of these sweet babies have at least one parent, why are they put in an orphange? I mean, I understand not every parent has the means to take care of a child... it's just so sad =(

I highly recommend reading The Boy From Baby House 10.. It's about a Russian orphan who struggled 8 years in a baby house and internat. The struggles the few people who cared for him went through are heartbreaking. It really shows how near impossible it is to get through the Russian government. He now lives in the U.S. and is an honor student.
