Even if we were to suppose evolution were completely false, even going so far as to say that it's some great conspiracy to delude our children and confuse the public, how on EARTH does that even BEGIN to justify the vastly more absurd claim that a depraved, petty, disturbed little invisible deity named Yahweh made a man out of dust and a woman out of the man's rib after creating everything over the course of a week?

Roll 5 dice and the odds of getting 5 sixes is 1/7776. Now take 5 dice and roll them. Hold any sixes and roll the rest again. Repeat until you have 5 sixes. It probably won't take you any where near 7776 rolls. I tried 3 runs, and got 5 sixes in 6, 12 and 14 rolls. The analogy with natural selection is not perfect, but this gets across the idea that cumulative selection reduces the odds tremendously over a single random shot. This is true for both dice and DNA.

You seem to be missing my point. Even if we had absolutely no clue how feathers evolved, a lack of evidence for the evolution of a specific trait does not disprove evolution, and it certainly doesn't prove creationism by default.

A simple google search for "protofeather" will lead you to some good articles on the evolution of the feather. Don't just rely on Wikipedia and creationist propaganda.
