just to let u know point the dish down an u get a better signal an it would receive a signal up to 10 miles in any direction but u would have to use a bi quad at the end i have had one built for 5 years now setting on my roof

Why not just use an omni-directional antenna for full 360° coverage, instead of N, S, E & W satellite dish which has to be in exact line of sight horizontally & vertically..

they have somthing like that for ham radios it litteraly lanches the signal a thousand miles with out bounces

I could imagen, but the thing is:

Raido: Recive data
Wifi: Recive + send data

Sending data in a long range is not too hard. but the thing is to send data to a device, and the device send data BACK. like for an example, if you got a phone with wi-fi, and you go on the net. the wi-fi sending range isnt high, so its goin to be hard to send data back to the reciver.

the thing is if this was in use that would have to be a very fast internet connection. if there were like 50 people useing it and it was only like 2mbps then it would be extremly slow

you dont need more then you 512 kbps when your down town. its for people to check thair mail or check some site fast. not for gaming

Well, it did work;) we just built a smaller size. we passed the project with an A;D
