che atmosfera...sembra di sognare...e soprattutto sembra che non tocchino terra i ballerini...bellissimi e estremamente bravi...soprattutto la coppia gialla che oltre a vincere sono anche italiani :)

What is the logic or purpose of the extreme head angles? IMO, it looks uncomfortable and unnatural.
Did this head stuff start in England?

Actually, those 'unnatural and uncomfortable' headangles help you while dancing.
The man keeping his head up provides more overview and you dance more elevated.
The woman keeping her head in that position sort of pushes her shoulderblade into the hand of the man.

Their dancing position is called a counterbalance. They touch at the hips and topple their torsos back slightly. It's a lot easier to twist and twirl around eachother in this position than it is when you're not in that position. :)
