when i think about Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana or the fucking disney creations i agree with you... but when i think about actually talented musicans like dream evil or wintersun. i like rock. i like this song.. i learned it on guitar, and i hate non-music like techno or what ever its computer composed music, with drumbeats and it goes in to your head and kills your brain and then you go singing on it all the day long... I could also wirte some crap and play a lousy cord and i made a song!

I preferred Motorhead, Saxon and AC/DC personally but I love this song. I think its kitschness is a major plus point. It contrasts with the heaviness of the song. The video seems tongue-in-cheek to me. The lead singer was homosexual so he probably had plenty of reasons to adopt a slightly ironic posture. It's not only a good song but it's good comedy (the video) too in my book.
