Another specific Gigli request. Beniamino Gigli singing Mi Par D'Udir Ancora from Act 1 of Bizet's Pearlfishers, recorded for HMV in 1931. Interesting to compare with the Tino Rossi version I posted previously. Totally different. I'm not going to offer an opinion other than to say that it is beautiful singing

I adore this recording. I remember my mother going out to Manchester one night in order to hear Gigli singing. She loved the concert, but reported back to us children that he rocked on his toes when singing the high notes, and this made his shoes squeak.
Ive had this same recording from our families collection since childhood, it's a must for all students and lovers of the art of singing. Thank you for your fine taste.
