I would not include the part about du Pre. While it is cool to know that they were married he did have an extramarital affair while Du Pre was stricken with multiple sclerosis

... du Pre had an extramarital affair with her sisters husband before Barenboim left her and shacked up with the Russian. While none of it is very pleasant, you can hardly blame Barenboim.
