one question garland. first of all, thx for doing the tantarion request, it was awesome. second, for this battle, did you not complete the friendly enemy quest? says around 0:44 that "spiritual power raised the attack range." does that mean physical attacks cant reach ozma?

i should know. though i did beat him in the high 50's on my first try, i forgot status gaurds so it was HELL.

Not in this FF, they don't. The only place that forces EXP on you is the Pandemonium battles after Zidane goes nuts for a bit. You can fight Ozma before that while still having all the attacks you need to beat it at level 1.

even this can be avoided (lulz) since zidane participates in all battles, equip a sargatanas (i think thats spelled correctly) and use soul blade. this petrifies the enemy, thus ending the battle and receiving no exp. same thing with quina and needle fork+add status. this method is done in order to fight necron and later bosses at lvl 1, as seen from other videos
